The Bowen ‘move’ comprises of a gentle challenge to the muscle (or in some cases, tendon or nerve bundles) which is held for a couple of seconds, followed by a gentle rolling movement. It sends messages through the fascia to the body’s autonomic nervous system, prompting a healing response.
